Kashmiris in Britain to observe 27th October as black day

London, October 17(KMS): The Chairman Kashmir Centre London Prof. Nazir Ahmed Shawl has said that British Kashmiri’s will observe 27th October 2012 as a black day.

Prof. Shawl in a statement issued in London today said that like every year a peaceful demonstration would be held outside the Indian High Commission between 1pm and 3pm at Aldwych London. It is on this day that the Indian troops had landed in Srinagar and occupied three fourths of the state.

He said that Human Rights violations committed by 700,000 Indian troops on everyday would be highlighted on the occasion. “A memorandum will later on be handed over for Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to remind him of his promise of Zero tolerance towards Human Rights violations,” he said.

Prof. Nazir Ahmed Shawl appealed to all the British Kashmiris to make this protest a success.

Raja Mohammed Ayub President Advisory Council Kashmir Centre London speaking at a meeting of the Advisory Council has also appealed to all the community leaders to mobilise the people for making the demonstration a grand success.
