Despite the fasting month of Ramadan Kashmiri Muslims today rushed to capital’s biggest hospital after the news of two injured Hindu pilgrims surfaced in the city. Scores of Kashmiri Muslims made it to Srinagar’s Medical Institute to donate blood to the wounded Hindu pilgrims. Doctors at Medical Institute said, two Hindu pilgrims on way to Baltal Cave were injured in a mishap and bought here for treatment. The pilgrims suffered lot of blood loss hence a special blood donation camp was organized, the doctors added.
Kashmir medics identified two wounded as Ravi Kanth from occupied territory’s Jammu region and Preeti Shah, an Indian national. The volunteers were lauded for donating blood to save precious human lives and urged to “keep up the values of brotherhood for which the people of Kashmir are known for centuries all over the world.”
